Theoharis David Papers

 Collection
Identifier: MC-034

Scope and Contents

This collection was created between the years of 1961 and 2018, with some undated materials. The records reflect David's expansive career as a student, professor, and practitioner of architecture, as well as his active involvement in the Pratt Institute and international professional architecture communities. The formats of the materials include various publications (e.g., magazines, journals, newspapers, and scanned press clippings), flyers, invitations, collages, three photographs, two exhibition catalogues, two flash drives, and oversized architectural drawings. Please note that David collected and assembled these materials, but not all were created by him. The publications included are all related to David, containing articles written by or about him. Many are related to projects he has worked on. Most of the materials are written in English, with some in Greek and one in Croatian. David placed sticky notes within certain publications to mark the place of related mention. The flyers and invitations pertain to exhibitions, lectures, and symposia that David participated in. The exhibition catalogs are related to the 2013 exhibition of projects by Theoharis David, "Built Ideas, 1969--2012,” curated by Christophe Kumpsch. The flash drives contain powerpoints and materials related to courses taught by David.
